Gingerbread Houses and Disney Traditions

Gingerbread Houses are one of my favorite holiday traditions. There is something so delicious about building a gingerbread house together.

Since we live so close to Disney World, we went over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to take a look at a much grander gingerbread house for inspiration.

As you enter the lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the sweet smell of spice and ginger washes over you and welcomes you in. There is the most exquisite show stopping Christmas tree in the middle of the lobby. Decorated with pinks, creams, and golds it shimmers with grandeur that only Disney can bring.

As you waltz through the lobby, around the big Christmas tree, and head to the left you find a life size gingerbread house. The Grands gingerbread house has been around for 18 years and looks like it will be staying for generations to come. The coolest thing about the gingerbread house, is that it's an actual little store that sells sweet holiday treats. To visit the resort is free and a great holiday tradition all by it self.

After visiting The Grand, we headed home, grabbed our boxed ginger bread houses and went to work. As we laughed and created our sweet little homes My family is the greatest gift I have, and I am so blessed to be able to have precious nights like these to have and to hold in my memory.
