Every year when our family vacations in Siesta Key FL we go and see The Ringling's Summer Circus Spectacular!

The Circus is held on the estate grounds of Mr. and Mrs. Ringling's property "Ca'd'Zan."

"The home of the circus king and his wife, a couple from humble mid-western origins, Ca’ d’Zan stands as a testament to the American Dream of the Roaring Twenties. Inspired by and designed in the Venetian Gothic style of the palazzos that ring the Venice canals, this dazzling palatial mansion perfectly captures the splendor and romance of the Italy the Ringlings so loved. I wore my newest Lilly Pulitzer dress and paired it with some cute circus inspired elephant jewelry.

After a fun day at the circus our family decided it was time for an early dinner. So off we went "over the river-and through the woods,' to the bayside of North Longboat Key to the dockside restaurant Mar Vista.

"Originally built in 1912, and spared when a hurricane in 1921 wiped out large chunks of the Island, this Old Florida style restaurant is considered one of the twelve oldest surviving structures on Longboat Key. That dinner at Mar Vista will live in my memory as one of my most cherished meals. Family. Divine food. Breathtaking views. The feeling of "vacation,' can be summed up in this one meal moment. It was out of a dream and I highly recommend it.

My Lilly Pulitzer Dress went from the circus to the sea with comfortable ease. I just love a stylish simple dress that allows me to have less fuss in my life and leaves me more time to make memories with my family.
