My Daddy told me LOTS of stories of when he was a young kid growing up in the 30's and 40's. I remember sitting at his feet as a little girl, eyes wide, and imagining his tales of days gone by.

One of my dad's jobs as a teenager in the 40's was working at a 'soda fountain' shop. There he would scoop ice cream. mix milk shakes, malts, and make you the bubbliest soda you could ask for.

He later would tell me it was not that bad of a place to flirt with the girls too ;)

I miss his stories and hearing his voice. That will never stop. I am so grateful and feel so incredibly blessed that my Daddy took the time to share with me and give me a glimpse of how America use to be.
