Looking for cotton candy, Elephant ears, a prize cow, carnival games, bacon ice cream and fried everything and anything? Well, look no further then The Florida State Fair in Tampa Florida. The Florida State Fair lasts for 12 days from February 4 - 15, 2016

We were so lucky to spend a day at this great Florida fair as a family. I loved feeling like a kid all over again. There were the usual carnival rides and livestock that I expected to see, but I was totally caught off guard when I turned a corner and stepped back in time to the 1800's.

Inside the Fair Grounds is "Cracker Country". It's actually a complete town made up of 13 original structures that were relocated to create a historical hamlet where you can experience first-hand what life was like for a Florida Pioneer.

Here are 15 fabulous things you definitely don't want to miss this year at the fair.

1) The Grand entry way to the Florida State Fair

2) Ride the Farris wheel and pretend you are flying like a bird

3) Feed the Goats

(They have a stand where you can buy some food and the goats, sheep, and cows eat it right out of you hand!)

4) Try something wild, like Gator Mac and Cheese at Chester's Gators and Taters!!

5) Ribbon Fries. they are like a potato chip and a french fry in one
